California’s healthcare exchange website, Covered California, has seen an abundance of enrollments, so the state must be doing something right. However, the deadline for the open enrollment period for health insurance are coming nearer every day. Residents who haven’t yet signed up for coverage should do so before the deadlines expire.

Previously, the federal deadline to apply for health care coverage that would begin on January 1st was December 15th. Obama’s administration has now pushed the registration deadline back to December 23rd, so residents have an extra week to get everything set up.

Covered California will accept open enrollment until March 31st to give residents enough time to apply and pay for insurance.
